Gary Dugan joined Merrill Lynch at the beginning of August 2007 as Chief Investment Officer for Global Wealth management Client, EMEA. He has worked for 25 years across discretionary and advisory businesses during which time he has established himself as an industry thought leader. He has particular expertise in strategic and tactical asset allocation and brings his experience of building and enhancing institutional investment processes.
Gary has considerable experience of researching European equity markets and economies. Between 1989 and 1999 he was a European equity market strategist, initially at Baring Securities and latterly at J.P. Morgan Securities. Whilst at J.P. Morgan he gained recognition for this work on European Corporate restructuring and on the impact of the introduction of the Euro on the European stock markets. Gary was invited by the European parliament in 1997 to make a presentation of his views on the impact of the introduction of the Euro on European financial markets.
He has a degree in Economics from Salford University, is an associate of the UK Society of Investment Professionals, a member of the CFA Institute, and a member of the Institute of Directors. His views are widely quoted in the financial media. |
